Nibble Apps Privacy Policy

We, Nibble Apps Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales with company number 09212661 (“Nibble Apps”) provide this privacy policy so as to clearly inform you how Nibble Apps and the third party companies we work with collect, use, share and secure your information when you use the Nibble Apps website (“Site”) and any of our mobile, smartwatch, TV or tablet applications, including but not limited to MealPrepPro, FitMenCook, Snapsie, Krautkopf, Caveman Feast, 14 Day Juice Challenge, 3 Day Cleanse and 30 Day Green Smoothie Challenge (“Apps”).

By using the Site and/or Apps, you represent and warrant that you have read and understood, and agree to the terms of, this privacy policy. If you do not understand or do not agree to be bound by this privacy policy, you may not use the Site and/or Apps.

By using our Site and Apps you also agree to be bound by medical disclaimer which we recommend you read.

  1. Information we collect about you and your device

Each time you visit our Site or use one of our Apps we may automatically collect the following information:

  • Technical information, including the type of mobile device you use, a unique device identifier mobile network information, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile browser you use or time zone setting;
  • Log file information such as details of your use of any of our Apps or your visits to our Site, including, but not limited to, traffic data, internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyse trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information.

IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

In addition if you provide us with these details we may store your name, location, email, meal preferences, details of products you have purchased and any other additional information you provide to us through use of our Site and/or Apps.

  1. Google Analytics

Nibble Apps use Google Analytics to see how people are interacting with our Site and Apps. For example, we can see that a certain recipe is really popular, or that another is rarely viewed. This allows us to improve the kind of content we provide. None of your personally identifiable information provided to Nibble Apps is transferred to Google to provide this service and the collection and use of your data by Google is subject to their privacy policy which you can view on their website.

  1. Third Parties

Nibble Apps use third parties such as the Apple Cloud Services, Firebase (a Googe company) and Facebook to help administer the applications (e.g. storage and hosting providers), and such parties may have access to data from our applications. For example, Facebook is used to send push notifications to our users when we launch a new app that we believe will be of interest. Firebase is used to authenticate users of some of our apps & to back-up your data, as is Apple Cloud Services on the Apple iOS Apps.

The data that Nibble Apps collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or a third party we collaborate with. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. Nibble Apps will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although Nibble Apps will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Site or Apps and any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

  1. Advertising

Whilst none of our iOS apps include third party advertising, our Android app uses Google AdMob to serve ads. Google AdMob will collect some personally identifiable information to ensure they are tracking the effectiveness of their ads and to increase their reach and impact. You can review Google’s privacy policies.

  1. Facebook

We use Facebook advertising (including Facebook owned subsidiaries such as Instagram) to encourage installs of our Apps whereby if you have visited our Site, or any other site we partner with, or our Apps, we are then able to serve such visitor with an advertisement on their Facebook newsfeed that encourages you to download one of our Apps. Such Facebook advertising will be subject to Facebook’s privacy policy and terms of use, as well as Instagram’s privacy policy and terms of use you agree to by using each service.

  1. Images

Our Apps invite and encourage you to share pictures on your social media accounts (including Instagram) of meals you have prepared. By sharing photos you grant our Apps permission to access your photos in order to upload such images to your social media accounts. Any images you share from any of our Apps to your Instagram account will be subject to Instagram’s privacy policy, similarly any images shared to other social media accounts will be subject to the relevant social media account’s terms and privacy policy.

  1. Analytics

Nibble Apps Ltd. currently use a third party analytics service provided by Facebook to collect and process information about the use of our Apps. Facebook is a mobile marketing and analytics company that provides an application management platform for mobile relationship automation. We use the information Facebook collects (see examples in the next paragraph) to analyse and evaluate your use of our Apps which enables us to improve our services. By using our Apps, you consent to the collection, processing and disclosure of information by us and Facebook and acknowledge that Facebook ability to use and share information collected about your use of our applications is disclosed and restricted by the Facebook privacy policy which governs the use of your data. Our Apps with integrated Facebook software help support multi-channel messaging (push notifications, in-app messages and email, if you provide us with your email address), in-app news feeds, in-app customer support and track things such as who’s joined our newsletter so we can send users custom messages.

Facebook may collect your information including:

  1. Device and network information, including platform information, a uniquely generated ID, operating system version, IP address, network carrier, and a country code.
  2. Application information, such as which applications you use, how you use them, and the frequency and duration of usage.
  3. Personal Information that you share with our applications.
  4. Personal Information from third parties used for authentication when you login to our applications using social networking platforms like Facebook.

Facebook may disclose information to others in the form of aggregated, anonymous data, including information about which applications users have downloaded and the way those applications are used. Facebook uses information about you collected from third-party partners in compliance with the terms set forth by those third parties. Facebook may also transfer information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where third parties process information on Facebook’s behalf. You may opt out of the collection of information by Facebook by not providing information to our applications or by uninstalling our Apps that integrate Facebook services.   1. HealthKit App Data

Some of our Apps make use of the Apple Health App Database (“HealthKit”). HealthKit, owned by Apple, is a tool and framework for developers of health and fitness apps to work together and collate data. You can choose to connect and share information in respect of any of our Apps (you use) with HealthKit and your HealthKit information with any of our Apps. If you grant our Apps access to HealthKit, it can add information such as calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates, amongst others, to HealthKit. Your unique health data you choose to send to and from HealthKit is not accessible by Nibble Apps and is not transferred by Nibble Apps to any third parties for marketing or advertising. Our Apps cannot write data to HealthKit unless you grant access.

Nibble Apps is in no way responsible for the protection of any of your information that you agree to store with HealthKit, which is governed by Apple’s privacy policy and other terms. You and Apple are solely responsible for the protection of such information. Please review Apple’s applicable policies and procedures before syncing and backing up your health data and/or other information with the Health Kit.

9. GoogleFit Data

Some of our Android Apps make use of GoogleFit. GoogleFit is a tool owned and operated by Google, to help users collect their health data across a variety of applications. You can choose to connect our Apps with GoogleFit and to share information. For example, you may choose to share information such as calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates amongst other to GoogleFit. Your unique health data you choose to snd to and from GoogleFit is not access by Nibble Apps and is not trasferred by Nibble Apps to any third parties for marketing or advertising. Our Apps cannot write data to GoogleFit unless you grant access.

Nibble Apps is in no way responsible for the protection of any of the information you agree to share with GoogleFit, which is governed by Google’s privacy policy and other terms. You and Google are solely responsible for the protection of such information. Please review Google’s applicable policies and procedures before syncing and backing up your health data and/or other information with GoogleFit.

  1. Newsletter

From within the Apps you can subscribe to the Nibble Apps newsletter or the newsletter of the published authors who we collaborate with. Newsletters are hosted using services such as MailChimp (“Third Party Email Service Providers”). Each has their own privacy policy, which can be found on their respective websites and which by subscribing you agree to. Third Party Email Service Providers allow us to send emails to thousands of subscribers and have access to certain statistics such as how many people are opening our emails and what people are mostly clicking on.

Third Party Email Service Providers allow us to improve the kind of content we are emailing and help us keep in touch with our users about updates to the Apps or new releases.

Users can safely unsubscribe at any time, using the unsubscribe links included inside the email. You will immediately stop receiving emails from us and your details are deleted from our database within 30 days.

Third Party Email Providers do store some personally identifiable information, although we try to keep this to a minimum by only asking for your first name and email address.

It’s also worth noting that we use a double opt in. When you enter your name and email, we’ll send you a message to double check that you want to subscribe. This contains a confirmation link you’ll need to click before we start sending you any emails.

We hate spam as much as you do and will never sell on your email address to an advertiser or third party.

  1. Google Remarketing

This site uses Google remarketing. Third-party vendors, including Google, may show our ads on sites across the Internet. These third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your past visits to our Site. Information about how your visitors can opt out of Google’s use of cookies can be found by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can point your visitors to opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

  1. Outside Links

We have included links on the Site and in the Apps for your use and reference. We are not responsible for the terms of use or privacy policies on these websites. You should be aware that the privacy policies of these sites may differ from our own.

  1. Privacy Policy Changes

Nibble Apps reserves the right to change this policy at any time. Please check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of our Apps and Site following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes.
